I started the day with one particular thing in mind – I had to go to the office after class to attend a short meeting. Instead of wearing what I would have worn today, I took the liberty to wear long pants/jeans and a T-Shirt.
After classes, figuring that I’d be late if I took the MRT or Bus down, I took a cab down instead – only to forget what the building and the area was called again – resorting to call it “the place opposite the Indian Temple along [a certain road]“.
Alighting, I walked into the office, the boss exclaimed something along the lines of: “Oh wow! You’re here, and you’re in sandals!”
I was astonished! Of all things, I forgot the shoes, and shoes were something I would always remember, because I don’t like wearing them unless I have to.
The only thing I could bring myself to say was, “I just came from class.”
Luckily, it wasn’t really an environment of extreme formaility, but it was just pure embarassing, that’s all.
On another note, I see now you’ve got other people around you. I’m probably just an annoyance now.
Besides, I think I’m being an annoyance to everyone around me, so perhaps it’ll be a good idea to head back into living in my own turtle shell (uh I meant well).

Anyway, just last Saturday, some of us were over at Marina Square after an event at Iluma. Of course, I’m not looking forward to the pictures of that day at Iluma on Facebook.
Whilst having dinner at Marina Square, there were fireworks. I heard noise coming from the Floating Platform, and I was wondering if there were actually rehearsals for the National Day Parade going on. Fireworks started to go off bit by bit, then it started to pour really heavily, yet the “practices” still went on, along with the fireworks. I thought they were crazy to have rehearsals in that weather.
Nevertheless, I found out later it was the NE Show, not some rehearsals.
Whatever the case, here are some horrible attempts at taking the pictures of the fireworks!
Quite nicely taken for pictures from a phone.
I realised too, whenever there are events like this, by the time you take out your camera to snap a picture, you just narrowly miss it. When you keep your phone, it appears again, and you fail to take it again. So when you leave your phone there and not keep it, when it happens again, you fail to take the picture because your phone is processing the images from the previous failed shots.

I went to ECP on Sunday. The breeze was nice and I saw this nice little scene by the beach – not that I’m patriotic or any of the sort.
The Singapore Flag (or four of them, actually)
The flags were just flying for the whole day in that position.
The breeze was great, felt like as if I was at home sitting in front of my fan. The only difference was that I felt salty after standing in the breeze for a while, as opposed to sitting in front of my fan.
I wanted to change the title of this blog to “My Whimsical Thoughts” or something along those lines, but I refrained from doing so. I thought that since the current one had been there for so long, I might as well leave it – so I changed the line below the title instead, a relatively less visible change.
Lessons start tomorrow again, back to the good old schedule of waking up at 7:15am. Somehow or another, the three week break was better than I thought it would have been, though I’m sure it’d have been better if certain things never happened.
Been listening to this and liking it, though I’ve had it in my library for some time already, I didn’t really pay much attention to it.
I got my Creative EP-630 on Tuesday from the Mass Order! Not that I had time to blog about it even when I uploaded the pictures *sigh*
I went over to Farrer Park MRT at 10pm to collect it, was an enriching experience taking the bus into the place, and after taking a bus in, I decided I’ll take a train home instead.
Anyway, some pictures!
The deal was from a mass order, so it came without the boxes and all, but I still like it! Especially when I paid only $25 for it .
I found that the earphones were better than my previous Cresyn ones in terms of sound quality, though that may be the Placebo Effect. Comfort wise, I find that this beats my previous one flat, and this can’t be placebo!
The only thing I didn’t like about these pair of earphones is the Straight Connector, I prefer L shape ones because I usually pull the connector to take my MP3 Player out of the Pouch. Also, I like the Cresyn Pouch more since it can fit my iPod Nano inside, so I’m still using that .

As I’ve mentioned, I took the train home.
During my journey towards Farrer Park, I took a bus there – or two buses since I had to change. I took only 20 to 25 minutes to reach there.
As for the journey back, I took the train from Farrer Park to Serangoon, and then changed to the Circle Line home – all with barely any waiting time – and I took 25 minutes to reach home. If there were waiting time, they’d have added another 15 minutes to the journey, since I would have narrowly missed the NEL Train, and would have needed to wait 8 minutes for the next one, and 7 minutes on the Circle Line.
Cost wise? Buses were free (since I bought the concessionary pass), and I paid $1.45 for the train ride home.
In which any case, I still think taking the train home was worth it that day :\.
So whoever said trains were faster…

I can’t wait for this week to be over!
Time to go back to studying for the test tomorrow, sigh
I have this feeling that I’m probably going to flunk it – primarily because I hardly understood much for this entire week since it was Full of Math, and secondarily, genius me lost all my notes and materials when I accidentally left my Thumbdrive in school today while rushing off to another place! Hopefully it’ll still be there tomorrow or some kind soul picked it up and returned it.
