New Domain!

I decided to spend some of the credit I have in my Namecheap account to purchase a new domain while purchasing something else for a client ^^. That’s alot of money off my account now :x , need to top it up someday…

I seriously had no idea why I bought yail.net from that person. It was during an auction, the domains were going relatively cheap, no one bidded in his auction, so I bidded and won. It was paying the price of 2 domains for 3 of them. One of which was yail.net.

The domain was utteringly meaningless, had no meaning to it, save for the fact that it’s short. That’s one reason why I’m going to keep it, then patiently hope that someone comes and offers me a good sum for it.

Whatever the case, you should be seeing the new domain today! There’s no need to relink (since the redirections are all automagically done), though it would be nice of you to do so >.< (heck, I doubt anyone links me anyway).

Someone is squatting on the imyun.com domain, which I wanted to purchase. Sucks, I’ll just wait till it expires and hopefully manage to purchase it.

Now only if there was a way to magically foward emails…

And the entire world comes…

Irritating/annoying/disturbing you when you’re feeling downcast.

HOWEVER

On the flipside, the people whom you just want to speak to, or hope that they’d be there, just don’t come. Maybe save for one person…

BUT

The entire world doesn’t come disturbing you when you’re feeling all fine and ready to help.

NEITHER

Do the people the people whom you just want to speak to, or hope that they’d be there, just come when you’re fine to talk to you because they’re always busy and you seem to be the freeest person on Earth all the time (could be good time management on my part :\, or maybe just different levels of prioritization to different people). Maybe save for one person…

THEN AGAIN

Never mind – because probably no one has anything to talk to me about save for when they need help with something. Been getting that the past few months all the time, and getting used to it.

Now only if I could turn back time…

On another note, I gave up using Windows Live Writer to publish posts. I think I’ll just take back my statement that it’s good.

It keeps giving rubbish tags and formatting…you’re better off using the writer inside the admin panel.

Orientation’s next week. Not feeling too excited about it. The thing I hate most about orientation programs? Other than the fact that I have to meet new people (something which I don’t really like either, but not till the extent of the following), I hate the extremely exhiliarating fun-tastic activity of sitting down in a circle (or any other formation), and having to INTRODUCE yourself, along with your hobbies and et cetera.

Only if Orientation programmes didn’t have this extremely exhiliarating fun-tastic activity, I wouldn’t be so deterred about going for them.

The last time I did that, just about a month ago, and I just had to be the first to begin…I only had one thing to take back:

For the record, that unfortunate day, I called the lecturer’s name wrongly and had no idea what in the world I was saying.

Just on Sunday, someone (I swear she said her name, but I couldn’t even grapse it because she was speaking so fast) called me to remind me about the Orientation and asked if I’m going or not. I haven’t made up my mind, but I told her yes anyway. Then she started mumbling more stuff, and eventually it came to food choices (WOW!!! They actually give you a choice of food). She mentioned Chinese, Halal and Vegetarian.

BUT, I didn’t catch her saying Chinese at first, and told her I wanted Halal. Thank goodness she reacted with a  resounding  HUH?!. Only then did I ask her to repeat the choices, then figured out there was Chinese…ohh…

Hopefully everything will turn out fine next week.

Stickgal’s pictures are good to use for blogposts. I’ve been reading her blog all the time, too bad she’s decided to stop drawing :( . I wish I could draw my own to express my thoughts in pictures, but, no.

Oh, and thank you that one person, you know who you are :) .

It’s that time of the year again

Paul Blart: Mall Cop

Watched Paul Blart: Mall Cop on Saturday! Hilarious movie, some of the scenes made me laugh non-stop. It’s quite nice for a good laugh, worth the watch! Though I found some scenes familiar and borrowed from other movies, like one of the scenes seemed “inspired” from The Scorpion King.

Anyway, just a little bit on what happened before the movie:

Left house at about 5:30pm plus, caught 851 to Little India to transfer to the NEL, saw a driver which I knew driving the bus~ Passed him a book which he kindly agreed to help to pass to another driver.

After that, met up with FWJ at Dhoby Ghaut at about 6:45pm to go to the Cathay to see some Gramophone’s promotion there. Nothing much, wasted our time…they were selling old albums at 5 for $3 (for the record, they advertised 1 for 60 cents) :( ~ But there were some other big discounts there d’oh…

Then later met L at Dhoby Ghaut again. Took 77 to the Singapore Flyer for dinner at Popeye’s. What’s a post without a picture?!

After dinner, we went to support FWJ’s friend who’s selling ice cream at Häagen-Dazs. They were the mobile sales group and weren’t at the actual shop itself, almost couldn’t find them and left…luckily I decided to take another direction when we were leaving for Tiong Bahru GV…Is Häagen-Dazs really doing so bad that they need people to walk around (lugging tubs) selling Ice Cream?

We bought all 4 flavours despite there only being 3 of us! Hahaha, then walked over to City Hall MRT to take a train instead of a bus to Tiong Bahru Plaza.

Okay, I know there’s only three in the picture, but there was really one more okay!

We bought the tickets for the movie there, 1 minute before the movie’s start. With GV, you know that there are always the 10-15 minute commercials before the start of the movie, should have just went in at 9:25pm instead. It’s annoying, but, oh well.

The movie ended at about 11pm then we all went back via our different ways.

Took 5 back (since it came when I reached the stop), then realised I alighted a stop too late, which cost me some additional 20 cents…and to add salt to the wound, I missed the bus I needed to transfer to because I alighted a stop too late >.<.

I want to watch Confessions of a Shopaholic next week, anybody? :D

When Right is not Right

What’s wrong with me?

I sent out an email today…and just to quote the section word for word

“I know that in this sample, the image in the news of the day isn’t showing and the TV [video player] on the right is not right.
I will be correcting that later. “

Initially I wrote, the TV on the right is not correct. It didn’t sound right, so I changed it to is not right instead. Needless to say, I didn’t notice the glaring error, or outlandishness of the sentence – until I sent the email. Nevertheless, the sentence was phrased wrongly in the first place – which would explain why it sounded weird (to me).

The only consolatory reaction I could give myself (which I really did do, because it was funny):

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

On another (completely unrelated) note:

I feel horrible
